About the role
Bright North Peak is expanding its activities across multiple international markets and is looking for country-based Technical & Business Associates to work alongside our engineering team.
We are currently looking for people based in:
United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Argentina, Brazil, India, and the Philippines.
Candidates based in the United States are strongly preferred, although we welcome qualified candidates from all of the countries listed above.
The purpose of this role is simple: our engineers provide the technical capabilities, while you provide local presence and local-market context from the country where you live.
Our engineering team works across software engineering, AI, cloud, data, infrastructure, automation, scientific research, and a wide range of industry domains.
Depending on your background, you may also contribute technical, scientific, research, business, or specialized industry-domain knowledge.
However, what you are doing today, how much knowledge you currently have, or what level you are at is not important to us. You do not need to already be an engineer, scientist, or technical expert. Even without a technical degree or extensive technical knowledge, you are welcome if you are eager to learn and willing to work alongside experienced senior engineers.
What You’ll Do
As a local counterpart to our engineering team, you will:
• Provide our engineers with practical context about your country, local market, professional environment, and working culture
• Help our team better understand country-specific expectations, terminology, communication styles, and industry practices
• Support our engineers when local knowledge or local perspective is needed for opportunities in your market
• Review information or materials when your local knowledge can help improve accuracy, relevance, or naturalness
• Contribute your technical, scientific, research, professional, or industry-domain expertise where relevant
• Stay in regular contact with our engineering team and provide light ongoing support as activities develop in your country
Bright North Peak handles the core engineering, technical preparation, research, implementation, and delivery work. You are not expected to perform all of the engineering yourself.
What We’re Looking For
• Currently based in one of the listed countries
• Legally authorized to work in your country of residence
• Native or near-native proficiency in the primary language of your local market
• Sufficient English proficiency to communicate and collaborate with our international engineering team
• Good understanding of your local professional, cultural, and business environment
• Reliable and comfortable working remotely with an international engineering team
• Interested in technology, science, industry, or working alongside experienced engineers
Preferred Qualifications
These are advantages, but they are not requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM, scientific, technical, or related field
• Professional experience or expertise in software engineering, AI, machine learning, data, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or related technologies
• Scientific knowledge or research experience in areas such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, biotechnology, statistics, materials science, environmental science, or related disciplines
• Industry or domain expertise in areas such as finance, legal, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, energy, education, life sciences, or other specialized fields
• Knowledge of industries, companies, professional practices, or market conditions in your country
• Master’s degree, PhD, or other advanced professional degree is a huge plus
• Technical or scientific certifications, research, publications, patents, projects, or other evidence of subject-matter expertise
Again, these qualifications are preferred, not required.
Time Commitment
• Approximately 0.5–1.5 hours per day
• Flexible schedule
• Workload may vary depending on current activities and opportunities in your country
• Additional availability may occasionally be needed by mutual agreement
Compensation
$15–$150 per hour, depending on your country, experience, expertise, educational background, domain knowledge, and expected level of involvement.
Candidates from a wide range of professional backgrounds and experience levels are welcome.
